Indeed, some children growing up with Manga and may be influenced. We use Manga as Art Therapy for children to understand the characters, story and awareness of the fantasy, fiction and reality. In addition, they can learn how to draw strength and positive learning from Manga as well..

To learn how to create Manga characters and storyboard

To understand the industry and latest trends of Manga

To understand the implication and influence to the young generation

To provide insight and strategy for parents/social workers/counsellors/teachers to be connected with children through Manga

To understand the use of Manga as Art Therapy

The workshop is organized to cover one or few sessions about Japanese comics. Workshop covering theory and practical session with demonstration from the instructor/artist. The workshop may be customized to different participants according to their interest. Basic Manga art is introduced for their features, characters and storyboard structure. Participants will get a chance to hands-on and enjoy the fun of Manga art.

Manga Art Course curriculum will be organised in multiple levels. Students must complete and be competent at every level before proceeding to the next level. In other words, they may choose to repeat the level if necessary. 

The following is the syllabus breakdown:

Each level is recommended for a minimum of 10 hours 

Each level is recommended for a minimum of 5 sessions

Unless otherwise stated, it will be a minimum of 2 hours per session

Each level must be completed within 3 months upon registration

• Digital Manga creation - Manga Studio (aka Comic Studio) Pro with Tablet
• Course for creating Manga through the use of Manga Studio (aka Comic Studio) Professional version 4.0 and above. Students are to bring their own personal laptop computer with a full legal version copy of this software plus Wacom Tablet device. Students can purchase the software and tablet from us.
