Objectives:
Comic-Cool Art Class is
for children age 10 and above to learn the techniques and skills of creating
comic art, sketching, storyboarding and inking. The course will cover from
basic to advance level of learning cycle. Students will be expected to
create mature comic art ready for printed media.

Structure and focus
Comic-Cool
Art Course curriculum will be organised in multiple levels. Students must
complete and be competent at every level before proceeding to the next
level. In other words, they may choose to repeat the level if necessary.
The
following is the syllabus breakdown:
Each level
is recommended for a minimum of 10 hours
Each level
is recommended for a minimum of 5 sessions
Unless
otherwise stated, it will be a minimum of 2 hours per session
Each level
must be completed within 3 months upon registration

Overview:

Course is based on progressive
learning from Level 1 to 20

Level 1 to 5: Basic Comic Art
of human, expression and storyboard

Level 6 to 10: Intermediate
level of comical creation, inking, lines, texture and layout

Level 10 to 15: Advance level
of comic storyboard, creative thinking, advance inking, flow, background,
focus techniques, creativity-juice exercises

Level 15 to 20: Printed ready
level of comic drawing, folio, character development, story layout and
creating comic for printed media
